Two hundred miles further north, there is a mountain called Danxun Mountain. There are many locust trees and cypress trees on the mountain. The grasses are mainly leeks and onions, and there are many Danxun. Xunshui originates from here and flows westward into Tangshui. There is a beast in the mountains, shaped like a rat, with the head of a pig and the body of an elk. It sounds like a howling dog and flies with its tail. It is called the ear rat. Eating its meat can cure indigestion and resist hundreds of poisons. Two hundred and eighty miles further north, there is a mountain called Shizhe Mountain. There is no vegetation on the mountain, but there are many Yaobi stones. Sishui originates from here and flows into the river westward. There is a beast in the mountains, shaped like a leopard, with patterns on its body and a white body. Its name is Meng Ji. It is good at ambush and its cry is its own name.
One hundred and ten miles further north, there is a mountain called Bian Chun Mountain. There are many onions, sunflowers, leeks, peach trees and plum trees on the mountain. Gangshui originates from here and flows westward into Glaze. There is a beast in the mountains, which looks like a monkey, has patterns on its body, is good at laughing, and will lie down when it sees people. It is called Youxi, and its cry is its own name.
Two hundred miles further north, there is a mountain called Manlian Mountain. There is no vegetation on the mountain. Two hundred and thirty miles further north, there is a mountain called Xiaoxian Mountain. There is no vegetation and there is snow in winter and summer. Two hundred and eighty miles further north, there is a mountain called Daxian Mountain. There is no vegetation, but there are many jade stones at the foot of the mountain. It is shaped like a dog and has a human face. It is good at throwing and laughs when it sees people. It is called Shan 𤟤. It moves as fast as the wind. If you see it, it will cause strong winds in the world.
A hundred miles further north, there is a mountain called Beiyue Mountain with many tangerine trees and thorny hardwoods. There is a beast in the mountains, which looks like an ox, has four horns, human eyes and ears, and is named Zhuhuai. It sounds like a wild goose and can eat people. Zhuhuaishui originates from here and flows westward into Xiaoshui. There are many fish in the river, with fish bodies and dog heads, and sounds like babies. Eating it can cure madness.
One hundred and eighty miles further north, there is a mountain called Hunxi Mountain. There is no vegetation but a lot of copper and jade. The water originates from here and flows northwest into the sea. There is a kind of snake in the mountains, with one head and two bodies, called Feiyi. Seeing it will cause a severe drought in the country.
Fifty miles further north, there is a mountain called Beidan Mountain. There is no vegetation here, but there are many green onions and leeks.
A hundred miles further north, there is a mountain called Zhuangcha Mountain. There is no vegetation here, but there are many horses. One hundred and eighty miles further north, there is a mountain called Beixian Mountain. There are also many horses here. Fresh water originates from here and flows northwest into Tuwu water.
One hundred and seventy miles further north, there is a mountain called Dishan. There are many horses here. There is a beast in the mountains, which is shaped like a leopard and has patterns on its head. Its name is Ge. The dike water originates from here and flows eastward into Taize. There are many dragon turtles in the water.
The first mountain in the Northern Mountains is from Danhu Mountain to Dishan. There are 25 mountains in total, with a total distance of 5,490 miles. The gods of these mountains all have human faces and snake bodies. When offering sacrifices, a rooster is used as a sacrifice, and a pig is used as a sacrifice. Fifty miles further to the north, there is a mountain called County Yongshan. There are many jade stones on the mountain and a lot of copper at the foot of the mountain. The main wild animals here are Lu Moose, and the main birds are Bai Zhai and Bai Di. Jinshui originates from here and flows southeast into Fenshui. There are many fish in the water. They look like snapper fish but have red lins in them. Their screams are like screeches. Eating their meat will not make people proud.
Two hundred miles further north, there is a mountain called Huqi Mountain. There is no vegetation here, but there are a lot of turquoise stones. Shengshui originates from here and flows northeast into Fenshui. There are many beryls in the water.
Three hundred and fifty miles further to the north, there is a mountain called Baisha Mountain. It has a radius of three hundred miles and is completely covered with sand. There is no vegetation, birds or animals. Tuna water originates from the mountains and flows under the mountains. There are many white jade here.
Four hundred miles further to the north, there is a mountain called Ershi Mountain. There is no vegetation and no water here.
Three hundred and eighty miles further north, there is a mountain called Kuangshan. There is no vegetation here. This mountain has snow in winter and summer. The wild water originates from here and flows westward into the floating water. There are many beautiful jade here.
Three hundred and eighty miles further to the north, there is a mountain called Zhuyu Mountain. There are many copper and jade stones on the mountain, and there are many pines and cypresses at the foot of the mountain. The Zhuyu River originates from here and flows eastward into the Yanshui River.
Three hundred and fifty miles further north, there is a mountain called Duntou Mountain. There are many gold and jade on the mountain, but no vegetation. Yanshui originates from here and flows eastward into Yinze. There are many 𩣡horses in the water, with oxtails, white bodies, and horns, and their calls sound like calls.
Three hundred and fifty miles further to the north, there is a mountain called Gouwu Mountain. There are many jade on the mountain and a lot of copper at the foot of the mountain. There is a beast in the mountains, which is shaped like a sheep, has a human face, eyes under the armpits, tiger teeth and human ears, and sounds like a baby. It is called the roe owl. It is a man-eating animal.
Three hundred miles further to the north, there is a mountain called Beixiao Mountain. There are no stones here. Four hundred miles further north, there is a mountain called Guguan Mountain. There is no vegetation here. This mountain has snow in winter and summer.
Three hundred and eighty miles further north, there is a mountain called Huguan Mountain. There are many jade stones on the south slope of the mountain and many jasper on the north slope. There are many horses here. The lake water originates from here and flows eastward into the sea. There are many eels in the water. There is a tree here with leaves like willow but with red veins.
Then go north for five hundred miles by water and three hundred miles by quicksand to reach Huan Mountain. There are many gold and jade trees on the mountain. Sanmulus trees grow here. These trees have no branches and are about a hundred feet high. Baiguo trees grow here. There are many strange snakes at the foot of the mountain. Three hundred miles further north, there is a mountain called Dunti Mountain. There is no vegetation here, but there are many gold and jade. This mountain is located near the North Sea.
The first mountain in the Northern Three Classics is Taihang Mountain, and its first mountain is called Guishan. Two hundred miles to the northeast, there is a mountain called Macheng Mountain. There are many aragonites on the mountain and many gold and jade at the foot of the mountain. There is a beast here, which looks like a white dog with a black head. It will fly away when it sees people. It is called Tianma, and its bark is asking for it. There is also a bird here, shaped like a crow, with a white head, cyan body, and yellow feet. It is called 𫛵鶋.
Seventy miles to the northeast, there is a mountain called Xianshan. There are many jade stones on the mountain and a lot of copper at the foot of the mountain. There are many pine trees, cypress trees, grasses and grasses here. The Suga River originates from here and flows southwest into Nagasawa. There is a lot of organ acid in the water, which matures once every three years. Eating it can cure diseases.
Two hundred miles to the northeast, there is a mountain called Tianchi Mountain. There is no vegetation here, but there are many aragonite. Three hundred miles to the northeast, there is a mountain called Jiao Mountain. There are many jade stones on the mountain, but no stones. Jiao water originates from here and flows westward into the river. The river dries up in winter and flows in summer, making it actually a dry river. There are two mountains here, three hundred paces in radius, called Fawan Mountain. There are gold and jade on the mountains.
Three hundred miles further to the south, there is a mountain called Jingshan. It looks to the south of Minfangze and to the north of Shaoze. There are many grasses on the mountain, including Qinjiao grass, ocher in the mountain shade, and jade in the mountain sun. There is a bird in the mountains, shaped like a snake, with four wings, six eyes and three legs. It is called Suyu. Its cry is its name. When it appears, there will be panic in the town.
Three hundred and twenty miles to the southeast, there is a mountain called Mengmen Mountain. There are many green jade and gold on the mountain, and there are many yellow chalk and nirvana under the mountain.
Three hundred and twenty miles to the southeast, there is a mountain called Pingshan. Pingshui originates from the mountain and flows under the mountain. There are many beautiful jade here.
Three hundred miles further east, there is a mountain called Jingshan, with beautiful jade, lacquered wood and bamboo. There is red copper on the southern slope of the mountain, and black 𬒕 on the northern slope. High water originates here and flows southward into the river. Two hundred miles further east, there is a mountain called Wormtail Mountain. There are many gold and jade on the mountain, and there are many bamboos and turquoise stones at the foot of the mountain. Danshui originates from here and flows southward into the river. Boshui originates from here and flows southeast into Huangze.
Three hundred miles further east, there is a mountain called Pengpi Mountain. There is no vegetation on the mountain, but there is a lot of gold and jade, and there is a lot of water below the mountain. The Flea Forest water originates from here and flows southeast into the river. The fat water originates from here and flows south into the bed water. There are many fat snakes in the water.
One hundred and eighty miles further east, there is a mountain named Xiaohou Mountain. The Ming Zhang River originates from here and flows southward into Huangze. There is a bird that is shaped like a crow and has white patterns on its body. It is called the 鸪𪄶. You will not feel bored after eating its meat. Three hundred and seventy miles further east, there is a mountain called Mount Taitou. Gongshui originates from here and flows southward into Huichi. There are many gold and jade on the mountain, and there are many bamboo arrows under the mountain.
Two hundred miles to the northeast, there is a mountain called Xuanyuan Mountain. There are many coppers on the mountain and many bamboos at the foot of the mountain. There is a kind of bird, shaped like an owl with a white head, called the yellow bird. Its cry is its name, and you will not feel jealous if you eat its meat.
Two hundred miles further to the north, there is a mountain called Yelu Mountain. There are many pines and cypresses on the mountain, as well as gold and jade. Qinshui River originates from here and flows southward into the river. There is a forest on the east side of the mountain called Danlin. The water of Danlin originates from here and flows southward into the river. The Yinghou River originates from here and flows northward into the Si River. Three hundred miles further east, there is a mountain called Ju'an Mountain. There is no vegetation but gold and jade. The Lao River originates from here and flows southward into the river.
Three hundred miles further to the north, there is a mountain called Shenhu Mountain. There are aragonite on the mountain and white snakes and flying insects at the foot of the mountain. Yellow water originates from here and flows eastward into the Huan River. The Fu River originates from here and flows eastward into the Ou River.
Two hundred miles further to the north, there is a mountain called Fajiu Mountain. There are many eucalyptus trees on the mountain. There is a kind of bird, shaped like a crow, with a patterned head, white beak, and red feet, named Jingwei. Its cry is its name. This is Emperor Yan's little daughter, named Nvwa. The girl drowned while playing in the East China Sea and could not return, so she became the Jingwei. She often carries wood and stones from the Western Mountains in her mouth to fill up the Eastern Sea. Zhangshui originates from here and flows eastward into the river.
One hundred and twenty miles to the northeast, there is a mountain called Shaoshan. There is gold and jade on the mountain, and copper below the mountain. The Qingzhang River originates from here and flows eastward into the Zhuozhang River.
Two hundred miles to the northeast, there is a mountain called Xishan. There are many jade on the mountain and there are sharp stones at the foot of the mountain. Niushui originates from here and flows eastward into Fushui.
Two hundred miles further north, there is a mountain called Jingshan with beautiful jade. Jingshui originates from here and flows southeast into Haize.
A hundred miles further to the north, there is a mountain called Tishou Mountain. It has jade and many rocks, but no water.
A hundred miles further to the north, there is a mountain called Xiu Mountain. There are jade and green on the mountain, many trees, peony and xiongqiong. The Jishui River originates from here and flows eastward into the river. There are turtles in the water.
One hundred and twenty miles further north, there is a mountain named Songshan. Yangshui originates from here and flows northeast into the river.
One hundred and twenty miles further to the north, there is a mountain called Dunyu Mountain. There is no vegetation on the mountain, but there are gold and jade. The Lushui River originates from the southern slope of the mountain and flows eastward into the Tailu River. Dishui originates from the north slope of the mountain and flows eastward into Pengshui. Sophora River originates from here and flows eastward into Dize.
One hundred and seventy miles further to the north, there is a mountain called Zheshan. There are gold and jade on the south slope of the mountain, and iron on the north slope. Liju water originates from here and flows northward into Wei River.
Three hundred miles further to the north, there is a mountain called Weilong Mountain. There are jaspers on the mountain, gold on the south slope of the mountain, and iron on the north slope. One hundred and eighty miles further to the north, there is a mountain called Baima Mountain. The southern slope of the mountain is rich in stone and jade, and the northern slope is rich in iron and red copper. Trojan water originates from here and flows northeast into Huituo. Two hundred miles further north, there is a mountain called Kongsang Mountain. There is no vegetation and there is snow in winter and summer. Three hundred miles further to the north, there is a mountain called Taixi Mountain. It has no vegetation and is rich in gold and jade. The trees on the mountain are mainly palm trees, and the grasses are mainly strip grass. The water originates from here and flows eastward into the river.
Three hundred miles further north, there is a mountain called Lushan. There are many beautiful jade here. The water originates from here and flows eastward into the river.
Two hundred miles further to the north, there is a mountain called Yishan. Banshui originates from here and flows eastward into the river.
One hundred and twenty miles north, there is a mountain called Yanshan. There are many baby stones here. The Yanshui River originates from here and flows eastward into the river.
Then travel five hundred miles to Beishan and five hundred miles by water to reach Raoshan. There is no vegetation here, but there are many Yaobi stones. The main wild animals in the mountains are camels, and the main birds are doves. The Liguo River originates from here and flows eastward into the river. There is a kind of tiger fish in the water, and eating this fish can be fatal.
Four hundred miles further to the north, there is a mountain called Ganshan. There is no vegetation here. There is a beast in the mountains, shaped like a cow with three legs, named Pi, and its cry is its name.
Five hundred miles further to the north, there is a mountain called Lun Mountain. The Lun River originates from here and flows eastward into the river. There is a beast in the mountains, which is shaped like an elk and has glands on its tail. It is called a beast.
Five hundred miles further north, there is a mountain called Jieshi Mountain. Shengshui originates from here and flows eastward into the river. There are many Puyi fish in the water, jade on the mountain, and turquoise stone at the foot of the mountain.
Another five hundred miles by water to the north, we arrive at Yanmen Mountain, where there is no vegetation.
Then travel four hundred miles north by water to reach Taize. There is a mountain here called Didu Mountain, with a radius of a hundred miles. There is no vegetation, but there is jade and gold.
Another five hundred miles to the north, we reach Mufeng Mountain. Looking to the north, we can see Jihao Mountain, where the sound of the wind is like a thunder; looking to the west, we can see Youdu Mountain, where the bathing water originates. There is a big snake here with a red head and a white body. It barks like a cow. Wherever you see it, there will be a severe drought.
The first mountain in the Northern Three Classics is from Taihang Mountain to Wufeng Mountain. There are 46 mountains in total, with a total distance of 12,350 miles.
