The first mountain in the Eastern Mountains is called Xiangshan. The north of this mountain is adjacent to Qianmei. The fresh water originates from here and flows to the northeast into the sea. Three hundred miles further south, there is a mountain called Boqi Mountain. There is no vegetation and no water source here.

Then go south for five hundred miles by water and three hundred miles by quicksand, and arrive at the end of Geshan Mountain. There is no vegetation here, but there are many forgings.

Three hundred and eighty miles further south, there is a mountain called the head of Geshan Mountain. There is no vegetation here. Lishui originates from here and flows eastward into Yuze. There are many pearl turtles in the water, which are shaped like lungs, have eyes, six legs, and beads. They taste sour and sweet, and you will not get sick after eating them.

Three hundred and eighty miles further south, there is a mountain called Yu'e Mountain. There are many catalpa trees and nan trees on the mountain, and many thorn trees and cattails at the foot of the mountain. Miscellaneous water originates from here and flows eastward into Huangshui. There is a beast in the mountains, shaped like a frog, with a bird's beak, the eyes of an owl, and the tail of a snake. It will sleep when it sees people. It is called the armadillo. Its cry is its name. When it appears, there will be a disaster of locusts. Three hundred miles further south, there is a mountain called Dufu Mountain. There is no vegetation here, but there are many water sources.

Eight hundred miles further south by water, there is a mountain called Qishan. The trees here are mainly peach and plum trees, and the main animals are tigers.

Five hundred miles further south by water, there is a mountain called Zhugou Mountain. There is no vegetation here and there are many sand and stones. This mountain has a radius of hundreds of miles, and there are many sleeping fish.

Seven hundred miles further south by water, there is a mountain called Zhongfu Mountain. There is no vegetation here and there are many sand and stones.

Thousands of miles further to the east, there is a mountain called Hushe Mountain. There is no vegetation here and there are many sand and stones.

Seven hundred miles further south by water, there is a mountain called Mencius Mountain. The trees here are mainly catalpa and tung trees, there are many peach trees and plum trees, the grasses are mainly fungi, and the animals are mainly elk. . This mountain has a radius of a hundred miles. There is a water source flowing out of the mountain, called Biyang. There are many tuna and tuna in the water.

Five hundred miles further south by water, there is a stretch of quicksand. After traveling another five hundred miles, there is a mountain called Taoyi Mountain. Then go south for five hundred miles by water and three hundred miles by quicksand, and reach Wugao Mountain. Here you can see Youhai in the south and eucalyptus in the east. There is no vegetation and it is very windy. This mountain has a radius of hundreds of miles.

Summarizing the mountain ranges of the three eastern meridians, there are a total of nineteen mountains from Shihu Mountain to Wuxi Mountain, with a total distance of 6,900 miles. The mountain gods of these mountains all have the image of human bodies and goat horns. When sacrificing these mountain gods, a ram is used, and the rice used for sacrifice is millet. When these mountain gods appear, they cause wind and rain disorders and floods.

The first mountain in the Eastern Four Meridians is called Beihao Mountain, located on the coast of Beihai. Two hundred miles to the southeast, there is a mountain called Qinshan. There are many gold and jade here but no stones. Shishui originates from here and flows northward into Gaoze. There are many loaches and clams in the water. There is a beast here, which looks like a pig but has teeth. It is called Dangkang. Its cry is its own name. When it appears, the world will have a good harvest.

Two hundred miles to the southeast, there is a mountain called Zitong Mountain. Zitong River originates from here and flows westward into Yu Ruze. There are many 𮬡 fish in the water. They look like fish but have bird wings. They shine when they come in and out, and their sounds are like mandarin ducks. When they appear, there will be a severe drought in the world.

Two hundred miles to the northeast, there is a mountain called Yanshan. There are many gold and jade here. There is a beast here, which looks like a pig but has a human face, a yellow body and a red tail. It is named Heyong and its cry is like a baby. This beast eats humans as well as insects and snakes. When it appears, there will be a flood in the world.

Two hundred miles further east, there is a mountain called Taishan. There are many gold, jade and cypress trees on the mountain. There is a beast here, shaped like a cow, with a white head, one eye and a snake tail, named Fei. Walking in the water will dry up the water, and walking on the grass will cause death. When it appears, great things will happen in the world. epidemic. Goushui originates from here and flows northward into Laoshui. There are many loach in the water.

In total, there are eight mountains in the first mountain of the Four Eastern Meridians, from Beihao Mountain to Taishan Mountain, with a total distance of 1,720 miles.
